Alan joined the company in 1985. He is a CPMR graduate, and has received his CFSP level I accreditation and is ServSafe certified. Alan was awarded the Young Lion Award in 1995 by Foodservice Equipment and Supply magazine. He is a past president of MAFSI Region 5, a past president of MAFSI National. In addition he serves on the Editorial Boards of the MAFSI Outfront Magazine and the NAFEM In-Print Magazine. His many awards include the FEDA Leadership Award, MAFSI Pacesetter Award, NAFEM Doctorate of Foodservice, NAFEM Award of Merit and he has been recognized by CFESA in appreciation of his dedication and service. Alan graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor of science in Business Management and Marketing.
After spending a year as an Inside Sale Representative, Colin Squier now represents the company in southern Virginia. Building relationships with customers has been a trademark of Colin’s work experience, starting with his time at Vie de France and work at Chevy Chase Country Club. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from James Madison University.
Barb has developed her organization and communication skills while working at a law firm and computer services company in the Washington, D.C. area. Providing support to our team will continue to help Squier Associates develop strong relationships with our customers.
Rick’s foodservice experience brings additional knowledge to the Squier Associates inside sales team. As a manager of several large hospital foodservice operations in the Washington, DC area, Rick developed extensive knowledge about managing the growth and profitability of hospital cafeterias and retail operations. As a foodservice retail manager, Rick standardized the training process to be more customer-service focused. He took his experience with foodservice operations and successfully transitioned to a purchasing agent with a large foodservice management company where he managed the equipment bidding process, prepared quotes, and coordinated installation.
Rick earned an associate of liberal arts degree from Harford Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lincoln University.
Brian brings a wealth of experience to Squier Associates’ inside sales team. As a purchasing manager for several large hotels and hospitality project purchasing companies, Brian gained extensive knowledge on how to deliver projects on time and under budget while working closely with owners, project managers, designers and architects. His latest experience was with an equipment dealer where he managed the purchasing process for multiple kitchen equipment projects.
Brian earned an associate of arts degree in Hotel-Motel Management from Montgomery College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.
Jake Ritchie’s keen attention to detail comes from his engineering background and his Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy from the University of Maryland. His previous experience was with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland as a faculty research assistant. Now, Jake assists our customers with their large projects and quotes, as well as other needs.
“Attention to detail” is the key way to describe Lisa Sally’s work ethic. As accounting specialist, Lisa works with the Squier team to assist with bookkeeping and accounting operations. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
With experience in both fast food and quick service restaurants, David Cron brings more than a decade’s worth of experience in food service and management to Squier Associates. This experience in all aspects of food service operations gives David unique insight into his work with our customers. Working with a variety of lines and customers is one of the things that excites David the most about his work, as he diligently meets their needs. David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland in Sociology and has received Food Safety certifications from both Montgomery and Prince George’s County Health Departments.
